The Pac-12 & B1G scheduling agreement has been cancelled so it will not begin in 2017. It makes me wonder about the CU-Purdue series down the road...will either school try to buy out the other or come to a mutal agreement to end that series?
This could revive the BYU-Utah series that the Ute AD is catching major heat in the Beehive State.

LOVE CU'S BLACK HELMETS!

1. Oregon 2. USC 3. UCLA 4. Washington 5. Arizona State 6. Utah 7. Arizona 8. Stanford 9. Oregon State 10. California 11. Colorado 12. Washington State
It's clear that Oregon & USC are the top two of this conference. The bottom three is pretty much clear (you could swap CU and WSU here). California lost to Nevada at home. Stanford barely escaped SJSU and while Arizona put up some impressive offensive numbers, they needed overtime to beat Toledo. You could make a case for #3 through 6 since it's probably too close to call. I thought Utah should have put more points on UNC but didn't do that. UCLA got off to a slow start but they rebounded nicely. UW beat a good MWC team from last season. ASU did very well against NAU and I thought Utah could have put more points on the scoreboard but a shutout is still good.

Anyone catch Arkansas State and Oregon? I love UO's new helmets this year...they are just SICK!
What is even sicker is that Oregon got to 50 points midway through the second qtr. That redshirt frosh QB Mariota is the real deal as LaMichael James put it. The Ducks were up 50-10 at the half and Arkansas State will score a lot of points this year plus UO's starters sat the entire second half.
The Pac-12 looks like they will have some very lethal offenses this year. Arizona gained over 600 yards of offense despite scoring just 24 points. ASU had over 600 and so did UCLA.
It looks like Leach isn't off to a good start in Pullman after dropping his debut in Provo. A dangerous Eastern Washington team is up next for the Cougs from Pullman. An 0-2 start for Leach is not unthinkable in this case.
Utah did what good defenses do and that is shutout bad offensive teams. Ute fans are very concerned about Jordan Wynn's shoulder. Hays and Wilson (the backup QBs) will be on call all season long.
Andew Luck was a superb QB and it showed against SJSU. We will see how they do against Duke but I feel good about CU's chances of beating Stanford in Boulder this year.
Oregon State had their game postponed by Hurricane Issac but we will know quickly how good they are as they host Wisconsin this weekend.
Cal's Tedford's hot seat was doused with gasoline against Nevada. The Bears play Southern Utah and another poor showing will have the natives restless.
USC was ready to play agianst Hawaii and went 75 yards for a TD on their first offensive play of the season. That Oregon-USC showdown in LA could be epic and that is not counting the conference's CCG.
CU fans are on edge this week...no knowing what will happen if the unthinkable happens which would be a loss to a FCS team this weekend.
Too bad Aggie and Mizzou fans are not on this board these days to share about their SEC expriences.

*sigh*
Today might be the last time I post about the P12. Buffs lost at home to Sacramento State...I'm not wearing my CU gear until basketball season starts. Wish there was a paper bag icon or I'll create one for my avatar.
At least CU has something to look forward to in basketball. Good thing a couple of KU fans signed up so they can give advice on how to pass the time till basketball.

Good thing a couple of KU fans signed up so they can give advice on how to pass the time till basketball. This is wrong on so many levels. I don't know why you feel the need to pick on KU fans here. It's not like Colorado all of the sudden started being bad this year. CU fans should have plenty of practice passing the time during football season, surely more so than KU fans. Here's the proof: Exhibit A: When Colorado limped out of the Big 12, it did so after losing 4 of its last 5 football games to the lowly Jayhawks. Heck if it hadn't been for CU, Turner Gill would have never known what it's like to win a conference game. Exhibit B: When a player isn't good enough to play for KU he transfers to Colorado not just to be on the roster, but to be the Buff's starting QB. Exhibit C: The team that the Jayhawks beat last week (SDSU) just finished stomping CSU which already has a win over the Buffs this year. Now I realize it's always easiest to pick the lowest hanging fruit, but even this short tree is out of the reach of CU fans. Before anyone points this out, I realize that this discussion is like arguing over who is the taller midget. But at least KU fans realize they cheer for a sucky program and don't have illusions of being big time. Which brings me to my next point. When KU fans wait for basketball season, we wait for a powerhouse program that has won its conference for 8 years in a row. The Buffs,,,, well they are the Buffs. But I'll give them credit for coming back for more after losing 50 of the last 52 to the Jayhawks.

mohawk,
Exhibit A: That didn't help KU much when it comes to the all-time series (45-25-3 in favor of CU). CU even is still 17-16-3 in Lawerence. At least Dan Hawkins was nice to let KU try to get a winning record at home against CU.
Exhibit B: Jordan Webb lost his starting job this week. Connor Wood, a former Texas QB, takes over this week.
Exhibit C: That was North Dakota State not South Dakota State that stomped CSU.

BC, first off I want to tell you not to take anything from my posts personally because these boards are for friendly sports discussions and that's what we are doing. Now, with that out of the way, I never said KU is historically a better program. I know better. My point is at the present time and recent past, we have both sucked and the records show that CU has sucked harder than KU, so picking on KU fans about knowing how to wait out the season is a bit odd. Jordan Webb may have lost his starting job for now, but he won it fair and square during open competition, and from what I've seen, he's not the problem on that team. And finally as for my confusion of NDSU & SDSU, you got me. However your school still lost to a team that got clobbered by NDSU.

I love trash talking to KU fans as well. The interesting thing is that what CU is doing so well has a KU connection in it in Mike Bohn & Tad Boyle. Bohn is catching a ton of heat for football's poor peformance but he bought a lot of goodwill with CU's move to the Pac-12 and the rise of the MBB program.

Changed the name of the thread to the CU thread. If anyone wants me to change back to the Pac-12 thread, I'll do it.

I will be out of town in Mississippi (in Jackson) this weekend so I probably will be slow in getting my opinion on CU football next week. Feel free to beat me to the punch.
