Tech also started 6-1 last season, right? I was just watching a replay of KSU @ WVU 2012. In it, they had high praise for the work of Tommy Tuberville.
I had this thought the other day, it's interesting what you want your schedule to look like, based on how competitive you think you might be. If you think your team is bad, you want to play other bad teams at home, because you'll lose to the good teams anywhere, and give yourselves a chance to win a game or two. If you're good, you want to play the good teams at home, because you can beat the bad teams anywhere, and give yourself a chance to beat the contenders at home.

LM, 3-6 is my absolute best case scenario prediction assuming everyone is cleared and all the highly touted Juco players work out. 2-7 is probably more realistic but if all the stars align,,, well you know. What contribution, if any, do you anticipate from LB Jenkins-Moore? Well chances are MJM probably won't play this year. Although nothing has been officially announced there are rumors that he is injured.

That's also a good point about the mindset of fans and their schedule. I look at KU and WVU as important road tests. I think we have the talent to win those games, but do we have the composure and focus to go on the road and do it? OU, OSU and UT are games that I don't think we win anywhere at this time, but KSU, TCU and Baylor are winnable home or neutral games.
We did start 6-1 last year, and 5-2 the year before, and finished 7-5 and 5-7. That's where my biggest complaint with Tuberville came in, we just never could finish anything. We couldn't finish individual drives without a turnover. We couldn't finish games without losing or letting the team push us to the very end. We couldn't finish seasons without losing a few games in a row. That's what was so frustrating, we had the potential but we'd waste it. Last year's Tech-KSU game was a great example, we're in the red zone up 10-3 in the 2nd quarter with chance to go up 17-3, Doege ignores an obvious blitz, gets strip sacked and returned to our 5 yard line, that's basically a 14 point play! Instead of a 17-3 lead, we go into halftime down 13-10. The Baylor and Texas games last year, KSU game two years ago... we pissed those games away with sloppy turnovers in the 4th quarter. A few years ago, we had 2 fumbles on the goal line in one game against A&M, we lost by 17 points. Under Tuberville, we could NOT STOP shooting ourselves in the foot.

Well chances are MJM probably won't play this year. Although nothing has been officially announced there are rumors that he is injured. I think the fact that he tore his ACL and had surgery are confirmed, and not rumor. I just know it's amazing what doctors and rehab specialists are able to do these days, and wondered what were his chances of playing. He's a big loss. I'm very interested in the play of Marquel Combs, as well. He's certainly highly-touted. He also runs his mouth a lot, and as a rival fan I'd like to see him smacked around.... a lot.

You understand where i'm coming from, right? I follow the guy on twitter so I know he often has back and forth bantering with KSU fans. I assume that's what you're refering to, or maybe its the fact that he was heavily recruited by KSU. If it's something else then no I'm not sure what you mean.

Heavily recruited, but went to rival school, talks a lot of smack via twitter.

It was just announced that Marcus Jenkins-Moore (injury) and Nick Harwell (eligibility) will both be redshirting this season. I think my preseason prediction just took a hit.

That sounds pretty bad. I don't really know much about the guy. My understanding is he broke into his ex girlfriends car to retrieve his cap & gown for graduation of all things, and that Miami-Ohio suspended him and he didn't graduate. I doubt that he's already been there for three years otherwise he probably couldn't redshirt this year and have two years remaining.

So I guess that puts me at: Oklahoma 8-1 Texas 7-2 Oklahoma State 7-2 Kansas State 6-3 Baylor 4-5 TCU 4-5 West Virginia 2-7 Iowa State 2-7 Texas Tech 2-7 Kansas 0-9 I am fully aware these predictions may suck! I work 80hrs and 7 days a week. My normal time of studying football is zero to nothing
