Wow! The Big 12 slate of games is awful this week! In part because we only have 10 teams, and in part because this is clearly a down year for the conference. There is exactly ONE game in this conference that I would give any interest to if I were a college football fan from outside the conference.
Iowa State and Kansas State, zero interest Kansas and Texas, maybe some interest because it's Texas West Virginia and TCU, is this even a Big 12 game?
Oklahoma State and Texas Tech, interest because it's two ranked teams. Both ranked higher than they deserve. The best win between the two is over Miss. State... and Miss. State's wins are over Alcorn, Troy, Bowling Green and Kentucky!

Also, our two highest ranked teams are off this week. It's a double edged sword, you can schedule bye weeks late in the season for your teams, but unless you're scheduling late season cupcake games like the SEC does, you have to have at least 2 teams share a bye week. That's how you get stuck with only 4 games.
I don't think the Big 12 is as down as people say it is. 4 of 10 teams are ranked in the top 18 of the BCS, only the SEC has a higher percentage of their teams ranked that highly (6 of 14 vs 4 of 10). The ACC and Pac 12, which everybody is raving about this season, only have 3 teams apiece in the top 25. The Big 10 has 4 ranked teams, but 3 of those just barely snuck into the rankings. So if that's a down year for the conference, then college football as a whole must REALLY suck this year!
Also, give me a compelling argument for somebody who should be ranked in Tech or OSU's place. I'll give you two, maybe UCLA and Wisconsin. That's only two teams though, if we're only talking about being ranked 2 or 3 spots too high, then BFD.
