What happened with OSU? Perhaps they aren't as good as we thought they were. How can a West Virginia team that got pounded by Maryland look so strong against the Big 12 favorites? I think at this point Baylor has to be regarded as the best team in the league. A year ago the Baylor-WV game was the most entertaining game of the year in the Big 12. I think this time around Baylor smokes the Mountaineers.

I thought Oklahoma State really got robbed right before halftime when the score was still 17-14 West Virginia. The center sailed a snap to the QB, and in the scrum to recover it, the QB was on the ground and tried to pick up the ball only to get it immediately knocked out after grabbing it. The ref considered that a recovered fumble, even though he never really had it and OSU came up with it after the it was all over. WV was in the endzone a few plays later when OSU should've had the ball.
Granted, OSU couldn't run the ball, and Walsh couldn't stop throwing the ball to the defense. I thought that play was pretty big. If OSU goes down and ties the game, or takes the lead, at halftime, who knows what happens in the 2nd half.

It seems to me that Holgersen has never coached an end-game with a close lead. Wow, WVU looked like they wanted to give OSU as much time as possible, before they eventually went up by 9, essentially sealing the win.

I don't think he really has. IMO, in-game management is the single biggest job requirement a head coach can possess. So many HC's get their job because they ran a prolific offense or defense, but really have no clue how to properly weigh the real time decisions that a head coach has to handle. Some guys are just better as coordinators where they can game plan, play call, and play mental chess with the opposing coordinators while leaving the substitutions, time outs, punt/go for it decisions to someone else.

Holy smokes did Iowa State just get robbed! That was a fumble on the goal line! Then , Texas fumble AGAIN on the very next play! Texas did not deserve to win this game! I hate calling teams lucky for wins, but Texas needed 3 straight replay reviews to all go their way just to get the to ahead TD... THAT is lucky!

After thinking about it a little more, Iowa State did not deserve to win either. They kick a field goal from the 5 yard line after having a 2nd and 2 at the 5 with a 3 point lead and 3 minutes to go. Then, on the final drive they get two pass interference and a facemask penalty. So if Paul Rhoads wants to act like his team stepped up and played a heroic finish to that game, then he's mistaken! However, did get the benefit of a terrible, incompetent, stretch of football where they had no business scoring a TD. I've never seen a stretch of 3 straight plays that all went to instant replay that ALL had to go your way in order for you to win.

Even most Texas fans are conceding this as an ISU win. To me for whatever reason, it looked like as if the ball was "wrestled away in a weird way" while forward progress had stopped as opposed to let's say being stripped or knocked down.
