Is that really the slate of games this week!
There's 3 top 25 matchups we could squeeze in there.
I'd nominate LSU @ Georgia, Ole Miss @ Alabama and Wisconsin @ Ohio State to replace those Virginia, Iowa and Colorado games.

I'd nominate LSU @ Georgia, Ole Miss @ Alabama and Wisconsin @ Ohio State to replace those Virginia, Iowa and Colorado games. I was trying to keep the matchups somewhat even. I think the with the exception of LSU @ Georgia your other suggestions are probably not going to be very close games. Neverthless, if those are the popular picks, then I'll gladly switch them over. Longhorn99, I agree (although not from a financial standpoint) we need more teams. Only one conference game this week. Sad.

Fair enough, I agree that the OSU-Wisc and Alabama-Miss probably won't be close games.
I think the TV networks are the ones who created this schedule for the Big 12. They want to get at least one conference game per week for our main TV broadcast. Once full conference play starts, it won't be an issue, but in September when most teams are still playing tune up games, they have to move some games around to get good broadcasts.

In hindsight, UL appears to be a much better choice than WV. They are good in both football and basketball. Not sure if they signed a GOR with ACC. I think that ship may have sailed.

Yes, we have missed the boat on Louisville. I'm pretty sure the ACC has a grant of rights.
However, let's keep in mind what happened to West Virginia when they joined the Big 12. Everyone thought they'd come in and win the conference in their first year, they were a top 5 team with a top offense. How did that work out for them?
Look at the Vegas sports books, Louisville would not be favored against ANY team in the top 25. Against their current schedule, they're a double digit favorite in EVERY game except the finale @cincinnati. Even in a down Big 12 this year, the Big 12 still has anywhere from 4 to 6 teams who would be ranked at some point during the season. Against a full conference schedule made up of those teams, Louisville would be an underdog in at least 3 or 4 of their games, and probably even money to a 3 point favorite in at least 2 or 3 other games. WV came in last year thinking they were upper tier, they learned the hard way that they weren't and finished 7-5. I think Louisville would be the same way.
