Predictions
Southeastern Louisiana at TCU FCS SL gets to pay for the TCU loss to LSU the previous week. This should not be close. TCU 38 SL 10
Buffalo at Baylor Things don't get any easier for Buffalo (MAC) who lost at tOSU 40-20 last week. Baylor wins at home 45- 17
Stephen F. Austin at Texas Tech Another FCS team visits Big 12 country but this time goes home for a loss but a big pay day, the way it's supposed to be. Tech 63-17
Oklahoma State at UTSA UTSA (C-USA) hosts a Big 12 team for a big loss. OSU 45 UTSA 10
West Virginia at Oklahoma OU gets to stay at top of the Big 12 while WVU occupies the bottom in the standings until conference play kicks in for other teams. OU 35 WVU 24
Louisiana-Lafayette at Kansas State ULL gets a paycheck but not a W from KSU. KSU 27 ULL 3
Texas at BYU The contest lasts into the 3rd quarter after which the Longhorns pull away with a good non-conf win. Texas 42 BYU 24
South Dakota at Kansas FCS bonanza in the Big 12 continues, this time KU squeaking a victory over MVS foe SDU 17-10

West Virginia was lucky to beat William & Mary at home. From what I gather from the name, William & Mary is a football team made of only two people and one of them is a girl. But seriously, I don't expect the OU-WV game to be close.
Texas is favored by 7 points in their game at BYU. I think it could go either way. If Texas wins as handily as you think, I think it makes a statement that the Longhorns are for real.
Kansas gets an extra week to prepare for South Dakota. Vegas has the line at KU by 23. Frankly I don't think it will be that close. If the Jayhawks dont win by 30 I'll be disappointed.

LOL @ W&M comment ;D W&M is the second best school in VA after UVA. Some regional bragging rights involved in this one. Good luck to KU this weekend. A certain streak will break today

Looks like TCU has its hands full with SE Louisiana. Up by 3 at the half.

BYU runs for over 500 yards on Texas. "iaz" is no longer Texas DC. Greg Robinson takes over the DC responsibilities effective immediately.

Wow, I can't believe Greg Robinson still has a job in football. I remember GR as the Chiefs DC. The guy was absolutely clueless. Hopefully he has learned a few things since then.

Did anyone in the Big 12 look really good over the weekend?
I expected Oklahoma to roll WVU, and they didn't. OSU looked like it had issues defensively. Kansas wasn't overwhelming against a very bad FCS team. We all saw what happened to Texas.
Overall, this is a rebuilding year across the conference, and there are no national contenders.

Agreed with the no national title contenders comment. Its not a good sign for the conference when neither of the two big dogs looks all that impressive. So far Baylor has probably looked the best in the conference. They scored 70 against Buffalo and probably could have scored 100 if they had wanted to. Buffalo looked somewhat decent in their previous game against Ohio State. I'm anxious to see what they look like against a good team.

Baylor looked downright SCARY on offense. They scored touchdowns on their first 8 possessions. It was 63-13 with 14:00 left IN THE 3RD QUARTER! They absolutely could've scored 100 if they wanted to!
Oklahoma State did not have defensive issues. They gave up 35 points, but 28 of them came it 4th quarter garbage time after it was 42-7 and they emptied the bench.
Tech is another team that could've scored 100 points if they wanted to.
Texas looked putrid. Lost in the defensive ineptitude was the offense didn't even look all that great. They had to play catch up and put some yards on the board, but couldn't score. This could be another 5-7 year for Texas, OSU and Baylor could put 60 on this defense!
The most stunning game to me is the OU-WVU game. OU's offense was just a nightmare, and somebody had the NERVE to compare Trevor Knight to Johnny Manziel!

Couldn't agree more, a conference is judged by how good their biggest name teams are playing. As good as they may be, we cannot have Oklahoma State, TCU and Baylor carrying the torch for our conference. It's great for fans of those teams that they're playing so well, and I'm sure they'll each love the chance to play for a BCS bid as the season rolls on, but in the end those accomplishments are kind of hollow if you don't achieve them by beating a good Oklahoma or Texas team to get there. Not to pick at old wounds, but those two schools fought tooth and nail to keep this conference in tact and revolving around them, but now they're not living up to their end of the bargain while schools like OSU, TCU and BU are playing the best football they've ever played!
