I think if there had been a playoff this year the teams that would deserve to be in there would have been Alabama, Oregon, ATM, and Stanford (Ohio State over Stanford if they were eligible). Although there is very little chance that it would have worked out that way.

Can't say I'm surprised by any of the bowl results. OU losing so bad was disappointing, but I did think A&M would win. Manziel just gives that team an offensive swagger they never had before. A&M is as good as anybody right now. West Virginia's loss was disappointing too, they have a long offseason to figure out their defense. They need some program wide changes to be competitive in the Big 12. Clearly, their formula for success was just flawed. Lastly, Kansas State's balloon is just out of air. They simply haven't been the same since Collin Klein's head injury, the offense was probably too reliant on him and once he couldn't produce the same as before, the season just derailed. The KSU of early November is a top 5 team, the KSU team of today is only a top 15 team.
This parity in the Big 12 is great. Having 90% of our teams go to bowl games is an excellent accomplishment. However, we need our best teams and programs to be legit national contenders. Texas, and now Oklahoma, need to get their QB positions figured out and be legit championship contenders again. OSU, KSU and others need to be right on their heels.

I know I should not be surprised, but............ND final rating above both ATM and Georgia really sucks. They are obviously not in the same league as teams that played Alabama like those 2 did. ?? Can't argue with 'Bama dominance. 3 NC's in 4 years is just crazy. Good for them. On a positive note for the Big 12:
"The Big 12 sent nine teams to bowl games, which for a 10-team league is no small accomplishment. As has been well-documented on this blog, it was the highest percentage for any league in the history of college football." -ESPN
